From the hiring perspective , the purpose of a resume is to screen out unqualified candidates and to screen in a select few who have persuasively shown in the resume exactly how they would add more value to the company than the other candidates. Writing an excellent resume means that you must know how get the attention of hiring managers and others who have a say about who is hired. To get your resume noticed , you have to know what hiring authorities want to see. In virtually all cases, the resume that will generate the most positive response is the resume filled with past accomplishments that show how the candidate has produced results for past employers, saving money , making money, increasing efficiency, and solving problems. Why does this generate results? By implication, a candidate who has consistently and repeatedly produced benefits and strong results in the past will continue to do so in the future. Writing an accomplishment-focused resume such as described here ensures that you clearly understand the employers' needs and have crafted the resume to address these needs rather than some self-serving interest.
There are 2 important things to keep in mind while building resume is proper order and punctuations. Correct punctuation is another consideration for expressing good grammar, and essential for creating clear business communications. A resume with lots of grammatical errors, or one that contains lots of typos drives recruiters crazy. If you cant proofread your resume yourself, get a friend or a professional do it for you!
By means of dynamic action verbs, each task of the job and its accomplishments are going to get boosted as there is going to be stimulation of the active voice. Steer clear of the passive voice. Commit this thing to your memory that you are trying to arrest the interest of the potential employer.
Proofread your resume. Spell check is a wonderful invention, but it cannot however tell you that you meant to use "if" in its place of "is". So, Resist this temptation of spell-check inventor and pass your resume to your colleague or friend who with acute awareness will go through every word.
