The "objective" section of a resume is one of the first parts that a potential employer will see when they view your resume. This general objective section gives you the opportunity to tell potential employers why you actually wish to work for their company. This is your chance to flat out explain to these potential employers what your purpose is and why you think that working for their company will assist you in reaching your objective, while at the same time giving them what they want.
10. Unexplained gaps: There are lots of different reasons why someone may have a gap in their employment history, but you shouldnt just ignore them and hope someone wont notice. Make sure you explain any gaps.
Add numbers to add punch. Youve heard it a hundred times but it still holds true. The more you quantify your achievements the more impact it has on an employer. Include percentages, dollar amounts, anything that will make the reader stop and really read about your accomplishment.
So how can you avoid resume quick sand? Its easier than you think. Here is a bit of advice to take advantage of so you wont become the quick sands next victim.
