Margins are important when formatting your resume because they ensure that it doesnt look too crowded or look as though the words will spill off the page. The recommended margin width is usually between one-half and one inch. This is because its great to maintain plenty of white space, something adding margin space can do.
Do not apologize for staying home to do what is absolutely the hardest job in the world - hands down. Highlight the skills that demonstrate your competency, including previous experiences that make you unique.
Making resumes using designs of well-known brands has become surprisingly popular. Resume of Sabrina Saccoccio, whose resume was made as Facebook profile page, is good proof of that. It was quite convenient to include standard resume information as a Facebook page already has corresponding sections for personal information, education, job positions, and, of course, a photo. All she had to do was to extend it a little bit. Sabrina took a step further she included a wall comments which actually were references. She also incorporated sound effects from melodyloops to add more creativity. Sabrinas potential employer confessed that it was a brilliant idea.
All the information or points that are important must be written on top like skills, experience, etc. Other important points are contact information and education. If the hiring manager does not have time to check the resume fully, he can at least see on top to check out the qualifications and experience. Hence, if these information are on top, he can further decide whether he must take the interview of a following job seeker or not or whether he is a perfect match for the following job position.
