You may think that your resume looks good at this point. Unfortunately, that is what a hundred candidates are thinking of as well. They all have well organized resumes. So what will make yours stand out? Your attention to small details could be the key to success. Number your pages and place footnotes to clarify anything that may appear vague. If you have many pages of content, be sure to include a table of content, as well as an executive summary. You must always remember that HR personnel has to spend hours to scan through thousands of resumes. Your goal is to make their job easier by sending in a clear and concise piece of writing.
Making resumes using designs of well-known brands has become surprisingly popular. Resume of Sabrina Saccoccio, whose resume was made as Facebook profile page, is good proof of that. It was quite convenient to include standard resume information as a Facebook page already has corresponding sections for personal information, education, job positions, and, of course, a photo. All she had to do was to extend it a little bit. Sabrina took a step further she included a wall comments which actually were references. She also incorporated sound effects from melodyloops to add more creativity. Sabrinas potential employer confessed that it was a brilliant idea.
In other words, try stating that you designed and developed a filing system that maintained both paper and electronic files for the entire office. The more specific you are about what you accomplished, the easier the prospective employer can create a vivid image of your capabilities.
