Most of the time when you hear the phrase Advanced Education, you think of Graduate, Medical or Business school. I am not saying that you have to go back to school, at least not right away, to find a new or better job. Always remember that knowledge is power, and the more you know the more valuable you will be to any company. A question I used to get commonly asked in job interviews was, "How have you been spending your time since graduation. Sleeping until noon, watching Netflix and applying to jobs via Careerbuilder for 10 minutes a day will not help you land the job that you want, nor will it ever sound impressive during an interview.
While using bullets is popular on resumes because it helps to highlight certain aspects of your career, there is a such thing as using too many. Bullet use should be limited in order to stay effective, with about 4-6 points per section. The purpose of bullets is to highlight specific info, so don't use too many, and don't use too few or the hiring manager will be confused as to why the bullets were included in the first place.
Changing careers can be one of the hardest things that a person does. You are going from what you know to something completely different. However, switching careers can be extremely rewarding as well. Perhaps you have always wanted to be an educator, but continued on in business, receiving promotion after promotion, until you lost sight of your dream. But now you are ready to get back on track and follow through with your desired career path. The first step is creating a whole new resume that highlights your education, relevant experience, and transferable skills.
