You may have scoured the net by typing in relevant keywords or phrases that are related to your particular job experience. It is not uncommon to find a work experience related online form that prompts you to complete the required information on a job board site. But is this enough to land you the perfect job?
2. A resume must look good; it must be well typed, well spaced, and have wide margins on both sides of each page. (This allows the reader to make notes which they may refer to during their interview with you.)
One of the first examples of such incredibly creative resumes is a resume in the form of a candy bar. Yes, you have read it correctly a candy bar! The author of this immensely sweet resume, Nicholas, applied for a marketing position and, as you might have guessed, got the job. The coverage of the candy bar included personal information, career experience and qualification. Ingredient section included the list of marketing areas where Nicolas had some experience. For those who are wondering if a candy bar was real, yes it was, and what is more, it was a delicious Nestle crunch bar.
Adding insult to injury, some writers prepare resumes in both the first and third person, as in the example that came across my desk that began with the objective: Position which will utilize my experience and provide opportunity for advancement and growth, clearly in the first person, given the use of the pronoun my. The resume continued with a summary of experience that read: Performs accounts payable activities . . . Reviews and classifies invoices . . . Interacts with vendors, with verb after verb written in the third person.
