When writing your resume, one of the first things you have to consider is your career objective. Ive been there before and I know how challenging it can be to come up with something note-worthy. In this case, it doesnt hurt to look for outstanding career objective examples for resumes you can base on.
For example if you worked in a store part-time express your performance in terms of how you over-performed in sales revenue (averaged over $500 sales a week - the highest performing assistant), 100% attendance and commendation for customer service (great moment to slip in a testimonial from your then boss!).
There are a number of resume formats you can use, so make sure the format you choose best illustrates your skills and accomplishments. Look to keep your resume to one page and always present it on white paper. Hiring managers like things they are familiar with, so don't send in a wacky resume or one with differing fonts. If you have decided to change career then add an objective, otherwise a summary will do.
