Resumes that have a ho-hum listing of job duties do not make the cut in a crowded employment market. Just filling in an MS Word template with your job description won't get the interview. Clearly show what you're capable of by illustrating what you've done in the past. Combine your accomplishments with your responsibilities in a features/benefits format that includes plenty of action verbs.
There are a hundred or thousands of curriculum vitae sent to the managers, so if you want to build a strong impression to them, you should better write it in clear structure and easy to understand. For example:
There are things that should be there that are considered crucial as to whether or not you will get phone calls from prospective opponents. If your resume is traditional or typical, you can forget about getting any phone calls. You will not have many results to show for it.
