According to the Certification Guide prepared by the Professional Association of Resume Writers, resumes should be prepared in the first person. That makes sense since, as a general rule, when a person prepares a resume for distribution, it has her or his name, address, phone, and e-mail at the top. It would be pretentious and a little silly to send out a document with a persons name on it (first person) thats written like its from someone else (third person). But thats what we do whenever we write a resume in the third person.
Another time not to send a picture is, of course, when a job ad or company's website specifically states not to. Just like breaking any other application rule (such as not including a cover letter, etc.), this will land your resume a one-way ticket to the trashcan.
These key words get straight to the point of describing your responsibilities, which is exactly what the employers are looking for. Chose these words carefully - don't say that you "managed a project", implying you were responsible for the whole task from start to finish if you were only responsibly for communicating the project to other associates. Instead state that you "Developed and executed the communication strategy for associates," describing your role more accurately and emphasizing your strengths.
The depth of your executive experience is a key factor in the decisions that hiring authorities will make about your background. Employers tend to reason that, if you've held a certain level of authority in the past, then you can be trusted to handle duties of equal or greater size in the future.
